The Gozney Arc XL is an exceptional pizza oven, but its compact size and the limited space between the pizza and the base of the flame can make it challenging to cook the cornicione evenly without burning it, especially while waiting for the undercarriage to cook through. However, the addition of the flame shield has significantly improved the cooking process. It effectively prevents over-charring of the crust, ensuring a more consistent cook. The shield fits perfectly, snapping into place with ease—arguably even better than the original OEM counterpart. I am thoroughly impressed and I am highly satisfied with this flame shield!

Makes things easier

Saw that people were using these on gozney forums. Glad I found this brand. You still need to turn your pizza but it gives you more time. No more not quite done to burnt crust in an instant. I have taken photos and before would not let my guard down to do that. These fit right in like the stock flame guard. No need to alter the stone.
Perfect for the style of pizza I prefer. I ordered the other guards too. Can’t wait to try the pan or bread shield with the door for a maintained lower heat.
