I will add to my reviews as I use it more, but I can see this will help when I'm using my pizza oven more as an outdoor oven.
The fit of the shield is perfect. It is a direct replacement for the stock shield, and the "install," if you can call it that, is super easy.
For my first use, I will admit I was hoping it would have offered a little more protection. I'm sure I'll be able to dial in the right temps to get an even better cook. And this will undoubtedly help the versatility of meals I can prepare.

This is hands down the best purchase you can make after buying the oven. Helps create very even heating throughout the oven. Blocks just enough of the flame and direct heat on the top of the pizza and allowing for the bottom of the pizza to get that perfect cook!!

The door and handle is great quality and enables the oven to heat up much quicker as well as blocking the wind. Fully recommend.

The quality is great and fits the oven perfectly likes its OEM. It made the cooking process much simpler as the pizza has more time to bake before the crust burns and saves you shielding the crust with the peel each time.

The door saved my sourdough! I had a power outage just minutes after putting a couple breads in my home oven. Ran outside, turned on the ArcXL with the Firecraft door in place and within 15 minutes had the temp over 500 and the bread coasted through the rest of the bake with the Arc’s retained heat.
In the past few weeks of using the door and the NY shield, has been tremendous for pizzas and after-bake clean up (high heat burn off) . Only positive experiences for me, couldn’t be happier !

I’m new to the high heat pizza oven game and needed an additional tool to help control the side heat. After using the NY Flame Shield for about 6 pizza’s, I have to say It Works! This allows me as a newbie to control the flame and heat and not burn the sides as fast. Good quality and good material. Which makes this a 5 star purchase.

I had another flame guard, but it was so bulky, and I would constantly hit my peel on it. This is like it’s not there. I love making g 14” Neapolitan pizza. I know not the standard but I like the slice size, and can see from photos my 14” peel has plenty of room. Plus the wrap around is an excellent wind blocker. I really like how it allows a good out of heat through the shield, but not blasting the crust. Highly recommend this for all Dome owners who want to expand their styles of pizza.

This door fits perfectly. My XL heats up quickly and the flame doesn't blow out due to the wind if it's a windy day. High quality. Thanks Craig

Great quality and fit. Half the heat up time and as a bonus feature, it absolutely incinerates any food on your stone. Set the door, crank up the heat and wait 15 minutes. Like new stone for every cook. Highly recommend.
