At the heart of FireCraft lies a deep passion for pizza-making and fire. Our story begins in Naples, Italy, where our founder, a certified pizzaiolo from the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, learned the art of crafting authentic Neapolitan pizzas. For years, he mastered the subtle interplay between fire, dough, and timing—lessons learned through countless hours beside traditional Acunto wood-fired ovens.
This experience sparked a realization: the flame is not just heat. It’s an instrument. To cook perfectly, you must craft the flame.
With over 15 years of experience working with commercial-grade ovens and distributing Acunto ovens across Colombia, we understood the precision and control that professional ovens provide. In commercial kitchens, there’s space to manage the fire—space to perfect the flame and balance the heat across the oven floor.
But when our founder brought his Gozney Arc XL to his balcony, something became clear. Home ovens, despite their brilliant design, lack the space and flame control of their commercial counterparts. The flame was too close. The need for constant turning to avoid burning edges and undercooked crusts was real.
There had to be a better way to enjoy wood-fired cooking without the stress—to turn a home oven into a professional experience.
Driven by our obsession to customize and improve everything we own, we set out to solve this challenge. Using our expertise as manufacturers, we began designing and testingflame shields—precision-engineered tools to tune the flame and recreate the commercial oven experience at home.
For over 200 hours of testing, sometimes running the oven for 6 hours straight at maximum heat, we fine-tuned the shields to perfection. What started as a personal project quickly became something bigger—a solution for passionate pizza makers like you.
